A very unique shopping experience! Cheese in hairy bags. Leeches (what would those be used for?). Very different than a trip to the mall. Cute ducks
Well, in the last 8 months I have become a Rick Steves devotee, but this is the first time I have looked at the travel blogs. Thanks to his tips, I now blog even my day trips, but currently am blogging from Italy. I could not resist the LEECHES video, and wish I could post my image from a market in Istanbul from last year. But, from my photo, here are the uses: burn cases, eye disease, embolism, vascular disease, epilepsy types, ear diseases, high blood pressure, hemorrioids, partial paralysis, psoriasis, acne, pus, gangrene, migraines, wounds that cannot be healed and surgery scars, and more. In my image is a very large jar with the leeches, and beneath water bottles to take your selection home. Thanks for bringing back this memory Rick, and do let me know if there is a way to post my image. Thanks, RAY
