Forgotten Heads of Famous People

At one point, these people were considered important enough to capture in stone. Today, in this Turkish museum, few remember their names.

  1. I don`t recognize any of these heads except the last one. Some of their noses have come off, but there are name tags. A great Turkish trip find. Happy heads and travels!

  2. How about a bit of audio commentary to go with the video? Some names? (Incidently, a lot of the heads are washed out in the light). Why, we might even recognize an old friend or two….. (from our readings, not from acquaintance!!).

  3. That is amazing (depressing?) when you think about it. A person can work hard and make such a huge contribution to his society that he gets his own statue. Centuries later, few people if any care. Wow.

  4. I think I saw Keyser Söze in there. :P I felt the same way in the Vatican Museum. So many heads, so few names.
