Rick, your timing in posting this is incredible! Thank you! We have ‘done Rome’ in prior years but have two days later this year before a cruise leaving from Civitavecchia. After viewing the video, now I know we want to see Ostia Antica.
We visited Ostia Antica based on Rick’s recommendation. It was amazing. I have since been to Pompaii and I’d have to agree with Rick that if you have to choose between the two, Ostia Antica is closer to Rome and much better to visit than the long travel to Pompaii.
