The Jordaan: My Home Away from Home in Amsterdam

While in Amsterdam, I always rent a bike for the duration of my stay and lock it to a “staple” (as the bike hitching racks here are called) in front of my hotel. A three-minute pedal away from the busy center puts me in the lazy, scenic, and mellow Jordaan district.

  1. Rick – my husband and I are in Almeer (just outside Amsterdam) at a Marina in our Motorhome. You might want to mention that this is a great way to see Europe as well. We have been here since May. We brought our own MH over and have met wonderful people and seen some great places. We even brought our dog!

  2. All the rivers and canals in Europe are so beautiful. I saw my first real Swan in Bruge a few years ago. We have had some great times just taking a boat up and back on the rivers.

  3. The most firmly set rules when it comes to fashion revolve around what is acceptable between Memorial Day and Labor Day. The G7 seal is a must when searching for the right magazine printing company. After preparing the soil, apply lawn fertilizer that works well with grass seed.
