Thanks for traveling with me so far on my trip. I’m coming down the home stretch in my 2015 travels, with one final leg. I’m saying cheerio to England and flying to Germany, where I’ll meet my crew and film three new TV shows. With producer Simon and cameraman Peter, we’ll be visiting Frankfurt, Würzburg, Nürnberg, Dresden, Leipzig, and Hamburg — the great cities of Germany that travelers so often overlook. If you’ve got a trip to Germany percolating in your travel dreams, be sure to travel along.

Dear Wanderer,
You sure do get around. I’m jealous…
I read your 2015 Itala book and the pocket guides for Venezia and Firenza and loved them all.
Thank you and thanks to all the gang in the blue bookhouse for all your hard work so we travelers can enjoy every minute or our trips.
Danke,
der Doppelganger
Thank you for sharing your adventures. Also, thank you for creating the site sharing Jackie, Andy, Cammeron, and Skyla. There is something so special about young people sharing. We could see your children grown up, and happy. We felt for Skyla. Thank you.
Too bad you won’t be passing through Dinkelsbuehl! We’ll be there in three weeks. :)
Rick, I’ll enjoy reading your entries about Germany and seeing those new shows too. My wife and I are headed to Germ/Aus/Swi next May and will be relying as before on your great travel materials!
Dresden will be one of our stops, as will Gorlitz nearby. I know Gorlitz used to be included in the Germany guidebook. Will it be in the 2016 edition, perhaps in a short add-on to the Dresden section? Thank you!
Hi Scott, this is Evelynn in Rick’s office. Our Germany 2016 guidebook is set to arrive towards the end of December 2015/beginning of January 2016. Check in then, and we’ll have more info for you about the new edition. Happy travels!
I drove from Frankfurt to Hamburg around April 2010 on the proverbial autobahn. That was an amazing experience watching the German cars fly by at high speeds.
