Pilgrims Walk in Jesus’ Footsteps

Christians from around the world come to Jerusalem to follow the Via Dolorosa (“Way of Grief”), and to follow the route Jesus walked when he carried his cross to Golgotha to be crucified. Today most of the Via Dolorosa feels like a touristy shopping mall through Muslim and Christian quarters of the old city, but the presence of devout pilgrims like this Eastern European congregation gives it a sacred feeling nevertheless.

  2. Isn’t it ironic that Palestinian Christians can’t visit these sites and that Christians worldwide cannot free visit Christian sites in Palestine/West Bank because Israel does not allow it?

  3. I visit Israel frequently, and have visited many sites on the West Bank. Not sure what you’re talking about.
    As for Arab Christians visiting Jerusalem,etc., check out the Old City someday. full of Arab Christians, many of whom come from the West Bank, after successfully crossing checkpoints, which were put up for security reasons. remember the bus bombs of the late 90’s and early 2000’s?
    Sometimes we are I victims of propaganda in the Press, which is why traveling to these places to get the truth is necessary.
