Let May 2011 be remembered as the first time I was asked to autograph a Kindle. I'm seeing more and more people over here really enjoying their guidebooks electronically.
I got to spend a couple days with my son, Andy, in Florence. He's basically living out of his backpack in hostels all over Europe as he starts his student tour business (Weekend Student Adventures: Europe). For his second semester of tours, he had about 300 students take his three-day tours — and it seems all were happy. He was in Florence because this is Europe's top city when it comes to American students studying abroad.
Readers of my guidebook never know when the author might pop into their bedroom. This family was enjoying Monica's B&B and the grand Cinque Terre view of Vernazza out their door.
Europe's beaches are a little less relaxing these days as so many people are playing with their iPhones while sunbathing.

Since you obviously don`t respect privacy and like to pop in bedrooms I can only say I am extremely happy you were nowhere near me as I read your guidebook in the B & B you recommended.
I love my Kindle, but I have to admit that after down loading the sample on Barcelona, I chickened out and bought the paper book. Now I kind of wished I hadn`t done that because I am going to take the Kindle anyway. Andy is looking good! I try and follow his blog too. He had some great ideas on our trip to Barcelona. It was fun getting perpective from a younger Steve`s!
Um, did that guy in the bath towel consent to having his photo posted on your Web site? Seems like he didn`t know a picture was being taken.
B&B Paparazzi. How many times does Rick get stopped during filming. I figure this is a little innocent payback lol. I`d like to read another Jackie blog she always has an interesting take on traveling. My daughter loved her blog. The more spam the less I feel like I want to buy Nike.
Did you get your hair cut, Rick? It looks shorter than it`s been. It`s a nice style; you must have gone to an Italian barber.

Yes, the picture is funny, but is that the Monica Lecari honeymoon suite? We are booked there for 4 nights in October and have been wanting to find someone who has stayed there. Please do tell us about it!!!!
