In Alexandria, the Cecil Hotel provides a fine and very central home base. With almost no tourists in town, everyone gets a seafront room. Enjoy the view.

Hello Rick,
Just wanted to add another guidebook to your little collection that you showed in this video. I used “The Traveler’s Key to Ancient Egypt” written by John Anthony West. It was published in 1996, so in some ways it is dated. However, his detailed information about the history of Egypt is unparalleled, and I was delighted at all the insights he provides for the historic sites of this beautiful country.
